Oculus:  The complete HD solution

High Definition.  We all wanted it in our living rooms, and now we want it on our ROV’s.  But getting a 1.5 GB/s signal from the bottom of the ocean to a pilot’s console is easier said than done.  Hadal Technologies’ integrated fiber optic HD camera is the solution that makes it easy.  If you’ve got a fiber, you’ve got HD.

The Oculus HD camera transmits an HDSDI signal over fiber optic cable, with no additional conversion needed.  HDSDI means full bandwidth 1080i, with no compression, and no compression means no processing delays and no multi-second loss of signal in the event of lost data.

Coupled with the Octopod multiplexer, Oculus allows a simple and straightforward complete upgrade path for an entire ROV’s camera system.

Oculus: Designed from the
ground up for ROV integration

HDSDI over fiber resolves the noise and interference issues that plague HD analog component YPbPr signals and the impedance mismatch problems that HDSDI signals over copper encounter when passing through standard subsea connectors.

Which means Oculus is easily integrated onto any subsea vehicle or system that employs fiber optic data transmission. Provide power and serial control, and Oculus gives back a beautiful HD image, from 6000 meters deep.
